Just purchased a nice double disc number 10 drill. it appears to be hydraulic operated--cylinder missing. Assuming single action cylinder is all I need? Also need mannual for machine? What are these selling for in very good condition?
thanks

I used to have a 12' IH #10 (upgraded to a 12' 5100 several years ago). Single acting or double acting should work- I always used double. I found the manual in Grandpa's garage last spring and listed it on ebay- brought $12 if I remember right. Check 'The Paper Farmer' on ebay- he has lots of old manuals. Only got like $200-300 for the drill, but it wasn't in that nice of shape.

I have owned a 510 IH drill for years and have always used a double acting cylinder. Seem to me you won't have enough pressure to get it in the ground with a one way cylinder.
