IHC walk behind plow

I have an IHC walk behind plow. On the main frame has the number IHC PO13354. The handle mounting bracket has the number PO13999. The landslide has 02064. The moldboard has IHC 0-3114. The shear has IHC 0648 Soft Center. I call it the shoe( the main part the moldboard, shear landslid all bolt to) has PO 14000.
Trying to find the age, and if a parts manual is available.

I think with those numbers you already know more than most of us. That plow was probably in a parts book with other plows. I don't remember seeing walking plows in any of my books.

I can help you a bit. The PO in the id numbers stands for Parlin and Orindorff a impliment company IHC picked up somewhere round 1910/1920. So, It was made after that acquisition.

We had two of those IH walk behind plows. I think they were bought back in the 1920"s before I was born. They bought a new 10-20 tractor back in 1926 and it was used for field and beltwork. They had a Fordson before that and the may have used that for plowing. My brother and I used one of those plows for plowing out the potatoes using a team of mules. In 1950 we bought a Farmall C and we used that to the same plow. We ran a spring tooth harrow over the plowed ground looking for more potatoes. Hal

The plow was made in Canton,Illinois at the IH Canton Works. At the library in Canton they have a P&O original catalog from 1915 era, it shows everything ever built by P&O . It's hard to know the exact date of manf. but the numbers and pictures in the book will tell the model. P&O made plowS for IHC years before IH bought them out.

If I'm understanding my parts books correctly, you have a model [u:a284fda22d]WH-1[/u:a284fda22d] 2-horse 12 inch plow, which was built from 1931-43.

Each of your individual parts fit several plows by themselves. The only section of my books that list all of your parts is the WH-1, WH-2, and WH-10 walking plows with 10, 12, 14, and 16 inch bottoms. (The WH-2 was also built with 8 and 9 inch bottoms, and it would appear that the WH-10 wasn't built with 16 inch bottoms.)

The WH-1 and WH-2 were built from 1931-43 and the WH-10 was built from 1936-43. The WH-1 used hard soft center shares, the WH-2 used solid shares, and the WH-10 used steelcast shares. The share type appears to be the big differences in the plow models. There are some differences other than the wear parts for different widths of cut of the plows and a few parts were changed through the years.

Sometime between 1932 and about 1936 (the 82-PO and 83-PO parts books below) the part number PO13354 was changed/updated to PO13354A. This should help narrow down the year of your plow a bit more if the beam is original to the plow.

All models and sizes should have had hard soft center moldboards.
