Yep, bought new holland rd baler year ago. Nothing but trouble with that thing. Before summer I hope to get something different. I'm not used to running equip that doesn't work perfect.
Rattle restoration....fresh coat of paint covers a lot of sin.Cousin bought a painted up 4630 JD, first day in the field the tractor had a knock. Found the top piston rings on top of one of the pistons, was just that worn out or ether from previous owner. Seller machinery jockey said it was overhauled, nope just painted up, when I was tearing it down, found that the pan was never off and original bearings.
Yes I could write a book on it but others have covered it. Just classic engine, tranny, winch, axles on and on. Same for stuff that was overhauled with a fine tooth comb.Anyone else have a story of something you bought that had a problem right after you bought it? I bought a JD 5020,and had a trucker haul it to my place, with a 18 ft disk, about 50 miles. On one of the first disking jobs the transmission input seal started leaking. I had it hauled back to my shop. I split the tractor and replaced the seal. A few jobs later the right axle puled out of the diferentaL Another have it hauled back to my place. I bought a used 79 Buick, on the way home the transmission stopped working. What is your breakdown story after the money changed hands? Stan
I bought a used pickup from my wife's car salesman cousin. I jokingly asked him about the warranty. He guaranteed that if that truck fell in half as I pulled out of his driveway, both halves would belong to me.Anyone else have a story of something you bought that had a problem right after you bought it? How do you add peroxide to a sealed battery? I no longer buy wet cells. My hair doesn't turn blond when I take a shower. Try washing yours with the extra oxygen.
I bought a used 6 foot woods brushhog pull type didn't make it twenty feet till it smoked the belt because of a locked up idler pulley.Anyone else have a story of something you bought that had a problem right after you bought it?
