increase hp on 1955

looking for increased hp from my 1955 -- injection pump modifications?

How much hp do you want? How far do you want to take the engine apart to gain some power? First off I would make sure your engine has the one piece wrist pin bushings and 12 point rod bolts or your block will end up like this:

Make sure the valves are set at the proper protrusion. You can start by turning the allen screw in the pump clockwise in small increments. Have you o-ringed the head? This will help eliminate had gasket issues as power is increased.

repower with a cummins 5.9 and you will have all the HP that tractor can handle

I ran one for 20 some years at 120hp and that's about the most I would want to run at one at for farm use, for pulling a person could run them at a higher hp.
