Injector Pump issues

I have a 1966 MF165. The injector pump was taken off and a gasket was replaced that was allowing the fuel to mix in with oil when tractor was sitting. Now I received it back and installed it and when I go to start the tractor it wants to max the RPM's right away. It will over rev if you don't stop it.
The throttle linkage used to move a whole inch to allow for adjusting rpm's. Now it moves a mm, and the rpm's adjust drastically. I don't know what the issue is. Governor?

Something is wrong inside the pump, governor wise. Sounds like the pump calibration was not verified on the test stand, a GOOD stand operator would have found that
problem right away and never released it for use as is.

Ethan, I had injector pump issues, Dieseltech diagnosed them here on YT. So I marked everything removed my pump packaged it
in a wooden box and sent it two states away to Dieseltech. That was 3-4 years ago and no issues since. Just my experience. He
is always here. Always offering FREE advice. I thought that was worth the cost. jmho. gobble

Thanks for the replies, I unfortunately live in Ontario Canada anyways I will have to look for a shop up my way. I see I can add videos, I might attempt to do that and see what you think.

Yep! Dieseltech is always here offering good advice. I wouldn't hesitate to send a pump to him.
