Injector Pump Timing on 1650

I am trying to get the injector pump timed on my 1650. The only flywheel mark I can find is the TDC mark. I can see where there used to be a tape or something on the flywheel, but that is about 99% gone. Any tips? Any idea how far before the TDC in fractional inches the correct mark should be?

I don't know in inches but I think it is 23 degrees BTDC. Start looking at about 3 to 4 inches.

2 degrees before tdc for energy cell engines
4 degrees before tdc for direct injection engines
