I came across this video of 95-year-old Harold Brock of Waterloo, IA, who worked as an apprentice with Henry Ford in the days that Henry first built the 9N and partnered with Ferguson to incorporate the three point hitch into his tractors. The interview has four parts. Follow the link to part one...

Tom-
Mr. Brock never worked for Harry Ferguson, he worked for the Ford Motor Company and was the engineer responsible for the 9N transmission and part of the small team on the N-Series tractors, later to be chief engineer of tractor engineering at Ford. With the design and develpment of the 9N, Ferguson was merely a consultant. He was not an engineer. He was a salesman. Sands, Greer, and Chambers were the actual brains behind Ferguson whom never get the credit they deserve. There are two videos available with Harold Brock. The first was a live Q&A seminar he did at Penfield, Il in 2006 taped at the Ford-Fordson Collectors Assoaciation annual show, and the newest one is done with Rob Rinaldi of the N-News. I have not seen your link but assume it is one of these two videos. I did a phone interview with Mr. Brock in December 2005 and still have the tape recording of that interview as I never released it.

Mr Brock gave a taped speech at the 50th Anniversary-official- New Holland 9N show in Minnesota, 1989. I was the creator/manager. He also came to the 2n 50th anniversary show in Minn.
He spoke clearly about persons involved with the 9n, 2N and 8N. Not all sugar and spice.
