Is it possible ?

Is it posible for a stock stroke factory block john deere 60 to make 75 HP ? If not what is the most ? Just looking for some ideas.

Maybe at 1600 RPM's...

50-55 would be more realistic if high RPM is 1200 (10% over factory). I guess technically a "Jack's block at 6.75" would be a "stock block", then you might get there.

75HP with 5.75" bore x 9" stroke is reasonable.

Maybe with extreme compression, custom cam, extrude honing the head/manifolds after cutting the eyebrows away. Dual exhaust header style.Over size valves, five angle valve job, back cut intake valves. Lots of valve spring pressure, a balanced bottom. Plus great trust in the flywheel as it's whirling at 1400-1750rpm.

If you get your compression up, 65HP would be realistic, maybe a tad more. Keep in mind with the stock cam, it may run 1500, then it'll likely droop down to 1000 pretty quickly and hold there till it doesn't any more...
