It's been a while

It's been a long time since I have been robbed. About 20 or so years ago someone took one of the batteries out of my JD 5020, when it was parked close to a road , I was disking. I wanted to use my pressure washer. It was missing, it was outside in my shop area where i keep my tractors. I live about a block away. My daughter lives on the property, and has carpenters installing a prefab small house for her daughter, and husband. Can't say someone on that job may have loaded it up, but you never know. Now I can't find my blower. Last time I used it, was to blow off the side walks on our Babtist Church. last Sunday. Some times I leave in my pickup. I haven't seen it since. Any one have something missing lately? stan

A few years ago I went out to my 56 Chevy shortbox. I didn't have a place to put it inside for a while so it was parked in front of our house. I got in it and right away noticed the lens over the speedometer had a crack in it. It wasn't there before, but I figured maybe since it was 65 years old it had cracked from heat and cold. Then I noticed that wiring from under the dash was pulled out. Hmmmmmm. It wasn't that way before. I think someone tried to hotwire it but I have the original ignition switch in it along with a newer tilt steering column that needs a key to unlock the steering and shifter. Maybe got lucky there.

Years ago I had a wood splitter that I built stolen during the night that was 50 feet from my house. It had a trailer hitch on it but there were 3 young hoods around here with a van and I'm convinced they wheeled it down the road a little ways and put it in the van. Never did recover it. To this day I keep my eyes open for it. Can't stand the sight of those three to this day. 👨‍🌾

Had a 16 ft stolen January of 2011. In July 2021 I met it on the road. Whirled around and got tag number. Called sheriffs office and repotered it. Was in a situation where I could not follow, had an appointment I had to be at. I had made a report when it was stolen. 1 day later got a phone call to come to office and get my trailer. I was surprised that it was not beat up. Still in great shape.

The neighborhood hoodlums got both of my sons scooters one night. Not a trailer full of tools or a log splitter but I just put four new tires and tubes on them the day before.
Doesn’t matter what it is, it’s the anger and frustration of the a violation against your world. Probably why it is in the 10.

I had the guide poles taken from my boat trailer. These are the two poles on either side of a float-on trailer that guide the boat when you load it on the trailer. We towed the boat and trailer from Florida to Michigan last spring, then back to Florida in October. I never noticed the missing poles until we took the boat out and went to load it back on the trailer. Since I didn't launch the boat in Michigan, they could have disappeared on the trip north or the trip back. Since we stopped for the night in Georgia and in Tennessee, I suspect some good ole boy felt he needed my poles more than I did.

The boat dealer had them in stock; 150 bucks later I was all set. The parts guy told me they sell a lot of guide poles.

I didn't say anything about killing anyone.
Simply brandishing a firearm over a petty crime will land you in enough trouble to make it not worth while. And accidents happen - if it discharges you will never own anything again as everything you have or will ever have will go to the criminal.

My sanity has been missing for awhile,

You too? I think it's going around. Lost mine a long time ago so some say.

That's called modern justice. 👨‍🌾
