I have a 48" JACKALL JACK MARK II JC HALLMAN MANUFACTURING CO LIT KITCHEMER ONTERIO CANADA
I bought it about 1965 in Reno, Nevada
It has a broken casting that selects up or down. The casting has M 35 cast into it. Does anyone know where I can get a replacement part?

I have the same jack have not found parts..yet.

That part may be cast steel and possibly can be welded. Try testing it on the bench grinder and see how it compares with a piece of cast iron. If it is steel, a 7018 rod and stick welder should make it good as new...if a good welder runs the bead. Test it out where no one can get hurt though. ohfred

I ran across this forum seeking information about the Jackall Jack. I happen to have a Mark II I got from my Dad that I am selling, so was looking for pricing information online.

While perusing other places I found that Jackall Jack's assests were purchased by another company. Here is the address for the notification about that:

You may be able to purchase replacement parts from the new company. I see they are still selling the jack, just under a new name.

Also, I have a Hi-Lift jack that is identical in every way that I can tell. While I have not tried swaping parts between them to be certain, they look and operate exactly the same. I would not be surprised that a replacement part from Hi-Lift would work just fine. Just another option to consider.

I know this discussion is WAY old. I have this Jackall Jack Mark II. One of the cross pins in the lift pin broke. I used a long roll key for a while. That broke. Any other suggestions for what to use? I have a bag that has some pins in it but I think it is labeled HI-LIFT and not Jackall. Those don't fit.

What are the dimensions (diameter and length) of the pin you need? Any special features like a groove for a snap ring or threaded holes? I have a pretty good stash of hardened pins.

I will need to go measure. No groove, no holes. I don't know what the original pin had.
The Hi-Lift pins that I have that DON'T fit diameter have a sharp slit lengthwise in the side that seem are supposed to make them stay in better.

Find an appropriate-sized old drill bit and cut a length off the shank with a cutoff wheel, if you can't find the right-sized pin.

That old you will probably have to make the part.

they are just roll pins , measure and go buy them.

I took the whole jack into hardware store. Figured out that 3/16 roll pin 2" long works.
Drill bit might last longer if I can figure out how to make it stay in.

A drill bit will never work. It is brittle and will break. I have about 6 of them jacks and only have broke the pins on one jack. The important thing is to keep that mechanism well lubed. I lube mine when I need to use the jack with a spray lube. Keep them lubed and them jacks work very good , no lube and them pins get sticky.

When I googled Jackall, Grainger Canada popped up, but it says no longer can be ordered? Maybe just because of the trade war. When I googled further it says it's made by Maasdam, I have one of their rope com-a-longs, and it's a great tool. I was at a yard sale once where there was a repair kit for a High-lift for $1, so I have it, as I have 3 high lift jacks. I don't have it with me, so I don't know what parts are in it. I see you can buy a jack maintenance kit for $40 that includes a lot of parts. In the ad for High lift is says it's cast steel, so I would spark test it and try welding it.

I learned the hard way to never ever force anything.
Keep mechanism clean and lubed.
