Have a Jeri mower with 3 hp Briggs. Has power reverse but not forward. Were some made like this or do I have a belt twisted or something else wrong? Thanks in advance.

Tom-do a goggle search jari mower,several sites have parts list,one site has a downloadable manual/parts list for the monarch,didn't see any manuals for chief model,don't know which mod you have also there are several videos posted on utube.

Flip the belt over at the motor pulley. The sickle bar will work either way, but the drive will run backward if the belt is flipped over at the motor drive pulley.
