I'm going to look at a 1530 thats for sale. I have always had fords, 4000 and 5000. I am used to the indepenate pto that the fords have, shift on the fly, no clutch needed. what tpye of pto engaugement does the 1530 deer use? how is it compared to the fords?

Will depend upon the tractor and how it was set u to start with. Most would I think have shift on the go like you are used to.

I believe you weill find the 1530 will have all the conveniences that you have had on your Fords. I have had a 1530 on our farm for 25 years. For it's size it is a super tractor. We have used ours for cleaning out chicken houses, raking hay, grinding feed, and many other farm uses. Some of these uses have been rather abusing, but the little tractor still is going strong.
