Hi all - just read a posting on Southeast KS CL- #30 in sad shape according to the pics - 300 or off to scrap - 6 bar reel -somebody rescue it

About 100 times what it's worth. I had one. Did a whole bunch of custom work with it pulled behind an Oliver 77. Sold it out of the shed in working condition for $100.

Is that the cute little one that looks like a beetle? I've heard from the old timers that those don't have enough "length of travel" of the material to do a decent job of threshing, at least in heavy stuff.

Don't know about that. They were pretty much just a model 25 with an auger and feederhouse chain setup instead of a canvas.

First combine I owned was a 30. Bought it a an auction for 425 dollars, used it a few years and sold it for 500. It was a pretty good machine until the ground got soft then it wanted to run cattywampus, if at all.

I have a 12A that worked perfect in 93 bushel wheat last summer. Wish I had the 30 just for the augur feeding instead of the canvas. Harvested grassy oats last year and one before with nothing but grain in the tank. They won't run but 10 acres a day but lots of fun.

Got this one off ebay for $250.00 two years ago.Sat for five years outside got it home and cut a tank of wheat.Just a toy thou leave the real work to the 6622.

Go to Youtube and watch 2009 Wheat Harvest old style, and enjoy. Bad sound the camera did not pick up right, but good videos.
