jd 40 combine

hey anyone, going to harvest some beans this fall , do i need some skid shoes on the bottom of header? Where would i find some? thanks for any info john

John, I used a 40 Roundback and later a Squareback for about 15 years cutting a few acres of soybeans and wheat. Never had any skid plates under the header. I'm not aware that anything was available for the 40. If you're doing beans, I hope you got a cab with a good fan to keep some of the dust out.. Bert
