JD 4010 battery box

(quoted from post at 14:58:26 06/27/23)

I suspect the price you show is just the box without the latches or hooks.

Latches are riveted onto the boxes. Standard equipment.

What are you calling "hooks"? If you mean the brackets at the bottom of the box that engage with the bracket on the tractor, those are also standard equipment on Deere boxes. They are welded in place, unlike the chineseum boxes that have a separate piece bolted onto the bottom of the box.

The box comes assembled I just bought one it has latches and brackets are welded on . John Deere will sell the latch separately if you need one

I believe you need to be signed up with a dealer to get their pricing, at least I had to set up a log in to the local dealer's site. When signed in, I can put things in a cart and see prices. I see the same JD prices as others have mentioned. Running the A&I part numbers the prices are less.

The price of a given part can vary dealer to dealer, even between branches of a mega dealer. I think that is why you have to sign in to a specific dealer site to see prices, they may be adding to JD's MSRP.
