I have an original very low hour 1972 4020D that I am going to paint. Any suggestions as to type/brand of paint, hardener, primer, etc..

I use jd brand paint and reducer with Martin Senour hardener. If you go to the paint and body work forum there is some good information on other brands to use or stay away from.

Howdy. Depends how much dough you want to spend. You can get paint from Deere or TSC...and it may do good for you.

As for me, I'm restoring from the bottom up a 1961 4010 and I'm using some top of the line paint. PPG Omni Concept for both the green and yellow and PPG Epoxy Primer.

Just keep in mind that regardless of the paint, prep work is paramount. Removing scale, rust, flaking paint, grease, etc. The more time you invest into prep the happier you'll be with the final results.
