Hello! I'm in the market for an 80. It's my husbands dream to own one, and I would love to find one for his birthday. Does anyone have one that's for sale? Thanks!

Careful somebody doesn't try to slip you a repainted "R" or repainted 820. Some 80's have been painted to look like an 820.
It takes some looking to tell them apart sometimes.

Try to talk him into a black dash 820 or an 830. They have many improvements on them over the 80.

I think it's a good idea. I have 4 and I would sell you one for him. I expo'd one 2 years ago for a friend of mine for his 80th birthday and he recieved his 80. The 80 will be a great investment because there are half as many as 820, and 830's. John Deere made 3500 were made and 250 exported,so 3250 for North America. The 820 and 830 there are 6950 each. Where do you live/ The serial number on a 80 will start out 8000????, 820's will start out 8200????, 8300????. Yes, the 820 and 830 have a few improovements, but it's only minor.
