I have a jd B long hood with a missing serial tag.Where is the other number on the tractor to tell me what it is?

If the tag is missing below the mag, There isn't another number or place with the ser.#.

Welcome to the no serial number club, we have many members, you are not the only one. About all you can do is pour over the parts manual and narrow down the serial number range and year by parts changes.

I happened once to get the original owners manual, and the ol boy did exactly as instructed in the manual to write the SN/ for future referances. One in a million chances.
