Jd G generator

A, B, and G tractors with a cast iron pulley were all mounted the same way. Go look at another tractor with correctly aligned pulleys. You will find the correct answer there.

I just went and looked at my john deers and here u guys go. All correct, as pats Deere is showing and also the same as forty20’s. And as I am also saying. And I also have the correct fan position. As I keep saying the problem must be in the fan pulley spacing with an incorrect spacer there. Now where are your pictures. ???

I’m not trying to make an argument either way, as I admitted to in another recent thread I have never put a wrench on any 2 banger. I am just reporting what I see in the photos. Pat’s Deere is mounting the generator off of the fan support and is a non-water pump model, Fordy20’s is the same. Rustreds mounts the genny on a bracket off of the side rail and is a water pump model. This appears to follow what is shown in the online parts catalog. JD G online parts catalog
I’m sure there is a 2 cylinder expert on here that can comment on this.
Edit: I am not sure how many tractors rustred is showing but my comment is based on his photos 8046 & 8047.

showing my 2 AR models, and also my 60 has the same pully direction, plus another non water pump model AR. i have never saw the pully turned around. it dont matter how the generator is mounted . the 70 models and newer have the cooling fan on the gemerator.
