Can someone help,I need advice on the 5525 4WD cab 24/24 box and eh hitch I"m looking at buying, this is a new tractor but it is also a run out, this suits me as the price seems ok.The work that I do now I use my Case IH 695 so I would expect this machine will handle the tasks well,Is there any inherent problems with this model?

While I bleed JD green. I can't recommend a 5000,5010,5020 or 5025 for anything more than mowing golf courses.
Anything on the dealer's lot in the 6000 series.

Why do you feel this way im looking at a 5625 or maby a5623 to replace a 4020 ps/diesel I will get fwd cab etc thanks for your help I enjoy your posts

Unhappy customers have tried using the 5000/5010/5020/5025 utility tractors as heavy work tractors.Have found that these oversized lawn tractors are not durable with heavy usage.Add to that the engine, hydraulic and drive train problems. In particular with the 5000 and first half of 5010 production.
5005's were ok. Jury is still out on the 5003 and the new 5000 lettered series.
A 6000 series is much beefier.

There's a dairyman that I bale hay for that has a JD 5525 MFWD that's about a year old that has been in shop for hyd problems 3 times since he bought it.
He's not proud of his purchase!!!!!!

JD better get their act back together as this new stuff is not holding up very good.

Kubota and New Holland make some VERY good small tractors.
