john deere #30 hydrolic kicker

i have a friend that that i help haying that has a #30 kicker that has new pump and relief valve and has adjusted per the manual and will still only kick a bale just a few feet into the wagen what is wrong

Check the pto slip clutch on the front of the baler.

Hi Gene, I own the baler in question, thank you for your reply. We have been through the baler from one end to the other, we have looked at that clutch before but i never put new disks in i have them on order now. We found the clutch at 250 pounds it would slip, book says 350-500. We now have it at 500 we tried in the yard it seems to kick the bale better. I will bale this comming saturday will find out for sure then.

Hi gene, wondering if you had any other suggestions, for my 30 kicker. I used the baler today clutch is set at 550 pounds still not working. It does seem a touch better but i know its not like it should be.
