John deere 450 Dozer

Looked at john deere 450 diesel crawler ,6 way blade, sprockets and track look pretty good hasnot run in about 2 years . Model T5F3M serial number 070527.Any idea what year it is? Needs steering clutches worked on . How bad of a job is it? What is it worth? Any information would be helpful. Thanks Rick

Apparently the transmissions are known to have expensive problems. Hard to put a price on it without more info. Dave

Look it over real good for loose transmission and frame bolts. They are noted for this. Transmissions can be an issue as well although no good way to tell till its running for about an hour. Steering clutches are not too bad if you have mechanical abilities. Can be costly though, depending how bad they are.
