How can I determine if my 5520 is not really a 5520N?

The reason I ask is because my 5520 doesn't have adjustable chain links to stop the swing arms from moving around and it may be because the tractor is to narrow for locking the links to the diff.

The serial number is LV5520N158279. I suppose that
the N in there tells me that the decal sticker might
have just lost a N along the way.

Double check those last six numbers. Its not coming up as a valid sn.

It seems like I remember those tractors having the rollbar mounted in the middle of the tractor instead of behind the seat.

That's right. The roll bar is in front of the driver.
