Does anyone have any dyno numbers on swapping the oil bath filter system to a dry system? I have cleaned my oil bath system and i know its not restricted. Just wandering if I will gain any power are is that just a gimmick. I realize if my current system was stopped up it would show an improvement. Im talking clean vs clean. Who has the best conversion kit that available.

The JD Diesel 2 cyl needs all the inlet air it can get..even a performance cam will make a huge difference..

Note:
They don't need to smoke much to make real Power..
Don't just open the Racks and expect a great change in power..it will only smoke more...

My R gained 9hp from opening the rack ALL the way & a K/N filter... no other changes - on a DYNO- remember ALL power originates from burning fuel. It lugs incomparable to other R's side by side in the field. I pull a case 4-16 in 4th (barely), they pull jd 3-14's in 2nd. Some of its the plow, but they cant do 3rd gear....

The R we used was set at 17, with a K&N and was same as yours..would stand red flame above the chrome stack when the front was in the air..

I think we had an Oliver 4x16" and it would pull it fine in 3rd..even idle it to a very slow idle and it didn't sound like it had a load on it..

An R is an amazing machine..I would not want to pull my 720 against one..!!

It aint no 830 but its what i got :)
I was amazed @ the gain just from the air cleaner. The one i ran as a boy always had an orange rooster @ the stack at dusk haha.
