john deere A and B

have a couple A's and B's i'm gonna haul in for iron. complete tractors just wondered if anyone was looking for any parts before these go away. crusher comes thursday of this week (10-14-10)

It sounds like you have made up your mind, but I urge you not to scrap 'em out. I know they made a bunch of these, but parts are getting harder to find as more of them get scrapped or parted out. And once they're gone, they're gone forever. You could list on Craigslist or Ebay, and at least someone could use them for parts. Or do you have a local salvage yard that would be interested? You have a right to do whatever you wish, but it would be a shame to scrap them.

Gary, where are you located and what are the years on the tractors (1941 ect.)? Also what is special (long hood, wide front ect.) Do any of the tractors have pressed steel wheels?

not totally made up my mind to haul in for iron but can't seem to find many wanting or needing parts that want to pay a fair price. most of these are nothing special, as far as i know all late model A's and B's except for on slant dash A i think i might keep.
i agree, dont wanna scrap em, but need to move some for the cash.

i know two of them are 1950 A's. do they fit on a 51?

i would say a 50 should fit on a 51 both would be straight gas models what would you be asking for a hood and or grills?

Gary, where in Nebraska are you? I'm south of Lincoln about 25 miles. I'd like to find an uncut hood for a late-styled B, plus some other minor miscellaneous parts.

Hopefully you will have enough people looking for parts that will convince you to part them instead of scrap them. If So, I'm looking for a straight fan shaft w/good splines for a late A. P/N AA3965 on tractors with S/N between 584000-632779. I believe the years are 48 & 49 only. Email me if you are parting them out with this part.
