John Deere A front hubs....

I am looking to find out what all casting numbers will fit a late styled John Deere A. the set I have is too short and I have to turn the wheels around backwards ( with the dish out ) so they won't rub.

Low, first of all you will need to know if you have Roll-O-Matic on your tractor. The wheel flange on a ROM hub is more or less centered on the hub. A non-ROM hub has the wheel flange very near the cap surface. It sounds as though you got the wrong hub. Mike

Sorry... It is not a roll a matic. and the hobs I have has the wheel flange near the center. I have found a couple of sets, but I was just wontering before I spent and money...Thanks LOW

There are 3 diff sets that will work. With the FLANGE near the CAP, for winter and MUD use. The middle FLANGE for REVERSE RIMS , such as JD-1258R on ROLL a MATICS and the FLANGE close to the SPINDEL for unstyled tractors with no REVERSIBLE RIMS with 11 consecutive RIVETS that hold the CENTER to the RIM. Also 8 rivet rims that had rivets spaced increments of 2 in 4 places, also none reversible.

I have found a set of A3004R that has the flange near the cap. will those work with the wheel that is dished inward?

Also, check for cracks on the stud holes. I just changed front tires
on my 50A (Rollomatic) and one wheel had over the years gotten
loose, I assume, and there were cracks on three holes. We braised
them and ground back and they are OK.

The A3004R hubs are correct for the non roll-o-matic front end.The A3479R go on the roll-o-matic.
The correct rims are JD1268 .

Rich has got it right. you can also use JD1290 rims in place of JD1268

The 1290 wheels look horable because they were put together with the center flange to rim backwards.

Rich thats in the eyes of the beholder i like the look of the jd 1290s
