Has anyone ever changed the cam to make it fire at 0 degrees an then at 360 degrees. Wonderin what result you would get.

You'd get one dead cylinder, unless you changed the crankshaft to match. It'd be a real beast to balance that setup. I know it has been done once, don't know if the guy attempted to balance it or if it shook itself to death. Mike

I thought Ashburry had already been there done that on a G. I could be wrong memory sometimes fails. I would suggest playing with the valve lash and advancing or retarding the cam collecting the data and sharing it with a experienced cam grinder that can grind specifically to your engine. I never really liked off the shelve grinds but they are no magical horsepower from one to the other either maybe .035% difference in worse cam to best cam.
