The plugs came out very easily with heat. I have ran wires and carb cleaner down all plug passageways but will run drill bits next and then a carb soak. Standing the carb up on a bolting flange , on the inside, how many tiny holes are on each end standing up? I think I got them all with tiny wire but want to be sure?

Not sure on holes as there are differences in carbs. The drills clean out the rust scale that a wire or spray job doesn't. supposed to put the passages back to correct size. Also check the so called "seceret passage"

All the letter series have the same size passages. The differences are in the venturi and nozzles as far as I can tell. I never understood the "secret" part. They're all pretty obvious when you take one apart. Some have a different number of idle holes at the throttle plate. Look closely with a magnifier. Use the correct size drills (see the Robert's catalog) and just turn them with your fingers.

Many people remove the plug at the base of the stem but fail to clean the passage across from it. The "Secret passage".
