John Deere D's muffler

Why do some people put two mufflers on their JD D? That wasn"t a factory option was it?

Its an aftermarket duel exhaust manifold that Rosewood machine(??) offers. They do it for the same reason that people put dual exhaust on there old V8's....makes em sound nicer..

My 35 D has a dual manifold and 4 inch strait pipes. There loud and sounds good. I have been thinking about putting on mufflers.
