John Deere G flatback

(quoted from post at 23:48:48 01/23/09) I am looking for a flatback for a john deere G. If anyone has one they want to sell let me know.

Does it have to be a JD cast flatback, or could you weld one up?

K & K antiques has a Almimum covers for pan seat G's.. you will have to drill the mounting holes.. but its easy to just clamp it to your old cover and drill. It is not completly flat, it does have the part cast for the PTO but its just solid cast.. it could be machined it with a lot of work. I just cut most of it off in a band saw.
It will fit a later styled G, it just does not have the mounting for the seat, which is easy to make.

I have an aluminum flat back for a G. It is currently on my tractor, but I have a stock cast iron back that I am going to replace it with. If you are interested, send me an email and I will discuss the cost and shipping.
