john deere g tires

going to put new tires on my 1952 john deere g.whats a good size and brand tire to go with for pullen.was going with 14.9-38.but others say 15.5-38.thanks need help to out pull sumper m my brother got.

make sure the tire tread is the width you want new tires are skinner than old tires my new 15.5 sat are 14" wide at traed. my older 13.6 are 13.6 at tread

ok u pull what do u think of the 15.5-38 goodyear DURATORQUE R 1 . WAS GOING WITH 14.9-38 TITANS.ALSO WILL THE 14.9-38 MESS WITH GEARING BECAUSE OF HIGHTH.THANKS TERRY

Width will be different, depending on Manufacturer..same for Height...

Do NOT put new tires on a puller , look at what your competetion is running. 20-30 percent tread weather hardened F&R's or Armstong, BF's or several others properly prepared is the way you want to go if you want to be near the top, When I started I went with a new set of 18.4 38s and got soundly trounced by most in the class, an old set of 30 degree Armstrongs properly cut put us at the top of the class. mEl
