I HAVE ONE WITH A POWER FLOW BAGGER. WHEN MY 48" DECK IS UP IN TRANSPORT THE WHEEL BY THE BLOWER IS STILL ON THE GROUND. WHEN THE DECK IS DOWN THE WHEEL WILL TEAR UP THE LAWN AT TIMES.I MOW AT 2 3/4 INCHES.THE DEALER TOLD ME THIS IS NORMAL BECAUSE OF THE WEIGHT OF THE BLOWER.IS THIS TRUE? THANKS

I have a GT 275, no doubt it's the same setup. Without going out and looking I can't tell you exactly how, but mine was not mowing level and I adjusted on the 2 hangers on the back of the deck and got it level. If you look at yours I'll bet you'll see how to adjust it. It's poor of your dealer to tell you to live with it.

MY MOWS LEVEL.BUT WHEN I LIFT THE DECK THE WHEEL BUY THE BLOWER IS NOT LIFTING HIGH ENOUGH IT IS ALWAYS DRAGGING ON THE GROUND.WHEN I GO ON THE ROAD IT WEARS OUT THE WHEEL FAST.I HAD TO REPLACE IT AT 35 HOURS.THANKS

Me again... if your deck roller(s) on the chute side are still on the ground when you raise the deck it definitely is riding hard on the ground when the deck is lower for mowing. As I recall in the manual the deck rollers are not suppose to be carrying the deck while mowing (should be off the ground a bit- for instance when you adjust it to mowing height on a concrete surface). They're to help the deck when going over uneven ground.

Have you tried putting some weight on the opposite side of the deck to help balance it again? I believe John Deere had a kit for one of the 48" deck models that did just this. I believe it was just thick plates of steel that were cut to match the curve of the deck, and were bolted to the top or bottom. I"ve seen it once, but its been several years since I last dealt with it.

Hello. I worked for john deere for over eight years setting these up. The deck was not leveled when the power flo was put on. Dropping the gage wheel was the "easy mans way out". Level you deck with the powerflo on and then set your gage wheels. Warning!!- your deck will be unlevel if you remove your powerflo to side discharge. Othewise these were a very good set up. I hope this helps.
