Joystick control for loader

I have a 4230 with a loader and Im thinking about trying to get a joystick control. The Hydraulics are plugged into the 2 scv's. It works ok but Im constantly unhooking & hooking hydraulic lines to use my other implements and it doesnt seem to work as smooth as it could. Also hydraulic lines hanging down in the way all the time. Where can I get a joystick for it?
How much are they (ballpark)?
and How hard would it be for me to plumb it in myself. Thanks Gorilla

If it was me,I'd just go with a two lever valve unless you have a self leveling bucket. It's easier to level while you raise or lower with the two lever once you get the hang of it. You should get a two lever valve for a few hundred dollars. Just make sure it's closed center. Just my opinion, for what it's worth.

google around for "prince hydraulics". We were thinking it would run us around 1200 for a dual joystick set for a backhoe that used to have 6 levers, but these folks put us together something for much much cheaper. I think it was under $300 shipped.

One other thing I would ad,if you do go with a spool valve,I went with a 3 spool on mine, not much more money,I've since added a bale grapple that needed the extra valve. Kinda like putting in a circut breaker box that has more capacity than you think you're even going to need.

I have a 4030 with a joystick control for my 265 loader on it. The block to seperate the hyraulic valve will be a couple hundred bucks through Deere, the rest you can get through Sloan or some other parts wharehouse for about $500 with a 3 spool valve. Another option would be to put a Fosse valve on your outlet to expand your remotes to 3 instead of just 2. This would be a cheaper route to go and maybe easier too.

Thanks for all the help. I checked the Prince Industries website and it looks like they have 3 way valves and joysticks. I will probably be back asking questions about how to hook it all up before long. Thanks again.

I just plumbed a three spool Prince valve from www.surpluscenter.com complete with cable controled levers on a 1066 and had a little over $900 in all the parts minus the power beyond on the tractor including all new hoses and couplers for the loader. If you don't have a cab and can use a direct mount joystick you could save alot of money over using cables.
