Hi all, Am looking for a steering wheel for my kb5. Are the 1-5 models all the same diameter and shaft size? a smaller wheel would be easier on my big belly. Thanks,Mike.

mike , what size is the shaft,? im not familer with the kb steering, but you might measure the shaft size and look online at places like 4 state trucks or the i-80 truck stop chrome shop,ive had to swap out the steering wheels on all my big trucks due to my belly, or in the case of my A model kenworth, i got tired or rapping my knuckles on the vent window latch, those old off white big steering wheels just didnt work for me, and they sell different size wheels clear down to a 18 inch, about the size of a car steering wheel, they also have adapter kits to mount the wheel on most trucks

I put a steering wheel in my KB1 from a 460 farmall. The original steering wheel is flat. The tractor steering wheel has the hub lower than the outer rim. The effect was it raised the steering wheel up a couple inches. Made more room for my long legs. I am pretty tall and every inch of leg room helps. The shaft diameter and spline pattern for the KB1 and the 460 farmall are the same. Very easy swap.
