I have a kohler 7 h.p. k161 sep.381181E needs a coil I can not find one does anybody know where I can find a new or used one thanks Paul

Any good parts store will have one.. NAPA, CarQuest, ect.

NAPA will have that part. You can buy on EBAY for 34.99 includes shipping. K141-K241 same coil.

Are you needing a coil for the magneto under the flywheel?

If you are running battery ignition, It is like an ordinary automobile ignition coil. And you may be able to get one from NAPA. I use an IC64SB on a 241 in a Cub Cadet.

Also, I was talking to our distribuitor about a coil for a 4 hp. Kohler with magneto and he knew of another # that would work and was not obsolete. It was not called out in the parts list as a replacment. You might get your Kohler dealer to call their supplier and ask.

I went to the Kohler site to look this up. Under the K-161 section, I could NOT find any Spec Number that starts with "3".
