Kubota 8540 lift capacity

I am interested in an 8540 for sale, so I was looking at the specs in an on-line manual for it. It lists a maximum rotary mower width of 90" and 1300#. My 96" Bush Hog 3008 weighs around 1700#. What will happen if I use it on the Kubota? I currently use it on a 45 year old 65hp tractor....the Kubota is 10 more HP but a lower rated capacity?? Also I see the front wheels on the FWA can only be set at two settings, only 2" difference per side. Why even bother??

It'll have no problem lifting 1700lbs. I would think a
base 7040 would be rated at over 3500 lbs. I would
think a 8540 (and 9540), would be rated for 5000+.

I checked Tractordata and they rate them quite high 24" out....but the manual breaks it down by implement and says 1300# for a rotary mower. Seems low to me also....

If there is a loader or weights on front I think you'd be fine.
They have some silly limits in the manuals on the bare tractor.

I mow with a 3-point 10-foot/120-inch Woods that weighs about 2000 pounds behind the M7040. It?s a good match for my purposes. The place is hilly, with 15-degree slopes common. The place is no golf course. Front weights are mandatory and 4WD has to always be engaged.

The M8540 has almost 15 more PTO horsepower, a longer wheelbase and weighs 300 pounds or so more than the M7040.

Today I'm putting on a power rake that weighs north of 1000# and
hangs way out the back on my 5740. You'll be fine. Mines just a little
dude. That's all the fronts can change? My 125 must be different, I
thought I had 4 choices when I set it up to go down 30" rows

According to the manual you have a choice of 59.5" or 63.5". I would like at least 84" LOL!

The Kubota manuals often have silly low limits, 71 engine HP 4x4 tractor and it says max 2 furrow plow......
