I have not had any experience with the bigger Kubota tractors, am looking at a 100hp kubota M9580. What are the ins and outs or these tractors?

Like most kubota's they are quality built tractors. Never owned one and there aren't to many for sale around here. From what i know it's one of the heavier tractors Kubota built but i'm not to sure of the engine although I know it is a 4 cyl and I think with a displacement of 288 cu.ci.and it has a 24x24 tranny with 4wd as standard equipment and a cab and bi-speed as options. It has 91 PTO HP.It looks to have been made from 1992 to 1999

Decide what you want it for if farming then ask for the long wheel base tractor (hard to find) If construction type work then the short wheel base will work but 10 hours on one of them in rough field will kill you.

I owned an M8950 DT and it was the best tractor I ever owned. It was rugged with good castings and lots of user comforts and features. It never broke and was very fuel efficient. I didn't like the loader mounts, however, since they got in the way with the loader off. The Nebraska tractor tests showed it would out-pull a comperable JD.

Big Kubotas are not built as heavy as a Deere but are more technologically advanced in my opinion. I decided to sell mine when I moved and it's the one sale I regret.
