L LA Oil Filter

Need some info. Does anyone know the number of the oil fiter used in an L and early LA. Opened the filter can on both & did not find oil filter in either one. Measuring looks like it is 6 inches diameter and about 10 inches deep. Also any ideas as to where I can buy a couple of them. Thanks, Chuck
 
The number I used for my LA last winter was for a Fleetguard LF526. That's for a filter that fits the factory filter case on the LA. I don't have one close by but I have a 49 and a 51 and their filters aren't that big. I have an L that I haven't worked on yet but it has a filter case that has a flat cover and several cap screws holding that cover on. I'm not positive but I think it may be aftermarket. Is that what you have?
