Anybody doing anything special Monday for Labor Day, or is it just another work day. I don't think we have anything spcial planned that I know of. I will probably to the barn'(my shop) and find something to work on. Stan

I did fireworks tonight. Lots and lots more than July 4th. As for the actual Labor day, nothing is going on other than being off work.

Just a day to sleep in, honestly.

Gotta work. Some body's got to be here and I drew the short straw on this one. Before I got this job labor day was just that. All my friends and family were off work and we would labor in tobacco. Oh well guess me have'n to work lets every one else off the hook. Hope they have fun, and don't have plans for next weekend!

I saw some sick lookin burley and flue-cured yesterday about 40 to 50 miles northwest of Winston- Salem. It was about knee-high and run up into top. If it was anywhere within 50 feet or so of woods, much of it was stunted much shorter that that. Black shank was also bad in some fields. I did see a few fields of decent flue-cured but no good looking burley. Glad to hear of your good crop this year. I hope Mother Nature smiles on you as you bring it to the barn.

About ready to get on the tractor for some Bush hogging that never got finished a Week ago, Have a Goodun' Larry KF4LKU

Jim, hauled in about 2 acres today. It is a bumper crop here as usual. I am on the edge of the mountains and it draws rain here when other parts of the state are dry. Most my neighbors who try also have very good crops.

My older sister told me that their county fair is in another week or so. She lives near Sugarland outside Houston.
