Late Model 930 Specials

A few days ago there was a discussion here about late model 930 Specials with 6-speed transmissions and hand clutches. When I read that thread, I thought I remembered seeing information on those tractors. This weekend, I found the brochure below. The brochure isn't dated but it does reference a fuel economy test dated January 1, 1965. Interesting marketing... - Joe

I don't know if it had the cast front wheels or the hub/rim but my dad had one he and grandpa bought brand new and I think my dad called it a 67 model or at least they bought it in 67 it was a 66 anyhow I am sure I know it had the screen. I believe. The serial number from that one is history. This tractor went to the furnace. I sure wish I had that tractor.

Hummm ? , Pix dont show HOW the hand clutch was configured on the Comfort KinG? , can anyone show that ?/ personally i would like a hand clutch 930 , But I would want at least 8 speeds And another slower reverse .../ , I dont buy totally in the SALES Pitch that 5 working gears give you plenty of Choices ,, Not When You could Get a 8speed in the same model or Practically any other brand and color in those days had at least 8 speeds ? , MAKES ME WONDER ?. did Case make too many 6 speed trannys in the early 60s? , and , Did it take nearly a decade to peddle all of them ?, seems to me the 6speed is direct descendant of LA , 500,600 , 900 Family ..the 6 speed shared very few parts with The 8speed..Which To Me ,is a heavyr Variation of the 730-830 HI/LO tranny ,, Did Case ever put 6 speeds in a 730-830-1030in any year? ,I, have not been following all info over past weeks shared, perhaps someone can starihten me out ,,.

The hand clutch was a long lever located on the left side I have a 930 Ck and it works very well with the hand clutch. Re drilling some wheat a while back on the M Farmall and I found myself reaching for the clutch lever to stop LOL. Anyhow they sold tons and tons of those 930 6 speeds here in Okla. I would like to have a 930 8 speed but those 930 6 speeds are a good tractor. they have a #160 chain in them compared to 140 in the Ls through early 500s? They are good for drawbar work I have hear of them with 12 and 14 thousand hours on them. chain drive 930s. I had a late 66 model 930 6 speed diesel made in november.
