Best looking tractor ever made and probably the best tractor ever made - Case 930 wide front row crop.

40 some years ago when I was working for my neighbor that bought nothing but Case equipment, I saw his 930 hooked drawbar to drawbar with a 4020 JD in front of the local tavern after too many brews and when they dropped the flag there was a lot of sprewing gravel and smoke and then when they hit solid ground with the tires the JD made one loud "pop" and the Case took off with him in tow. Broke something in the rear or tranny I guess.

I"ll never forget it.

Whenever I see a 930 all I can think of is how much of that machine is motor? Exactly what a tractor should be, a giant motor and everything else is small in comparison. You have a really fine looking machine there, Great job done. Don

Very Very nice. It was fun to take out a 930 on a demonstration with a 5B 16" JTA plow, here in Central NY. The 401's torque would pull hard on the steep hills and the DOM 3pt with proper front weighting, showed up the competition. The only thing the 930 didn't have was a diff lock, but we weighted the left rear wheel heavier when plowing in furrow. Rear tire inflation pressure also made a big difference in the performance of the DOM. A little tweek on the pump, (timing and fuel) made the 930 tiger, roar. We also had theHome Farm to test the tractors out, so we knew we had a winner

How come no air cleaner pipe and precleaner? I thought only first year 930s didnt have pipe through the cowl, but two of our early ones have had hole cut and pipe added. Also have early and late with screen ahead of 930 decal!!
