lemmon shaped pto shalf

surprisingly, like a lemon, sort of round center section with a point on each end if that makes sense... or imagine your square pto shaft with the corners facing the points of a compass, N, E, S, W, and then squash the tube at two opposite points (ie N and S)to make the tube sort of round in the middle. used on lots of lower power requirement implements, especially those designed in Europe,

glad i wasn't the only one lost here on this subject. others were too, but probably want admit it. now an even dumber questions, whats the need for this lemon?

When you look at the cross section of the tubes it would look something like a lemon shape. Around here we call it 'teardrop shaft'. Basically it's an oval shaped shaft tube that's got two flats. The Bondolini has 3 flats and a slightly different profile again. All have metric fixtures as opposed to the old square shaft that has US sizing.
The metric shafts are very prominent on european impliments.

New Idea used that Bandolini Pavesi drive line on their discbines. Bought one in 1990, but couldn't remember the name when I read the first post.

theyre REAL good for the sales department...do yourself a favor and never buy anything with one on it...i've got a stack of em behind shop to haul over scales as soon as price for tin goes back up.
