Light Switch

These were usually dealer add-ons and were placed in different places. Just be sure you have room behind the dash.

Arle.......as Ron said, sometimes there is a "dent" to indicate for the dealer installed lite switch. The problem with the dash mounted headlite switch is the OEM switch is NOT WATER PROOF. You can gitt water proof push-pull switches iff'n you go shopping.

Many frontmount 8N's have their headlite switches mounted in the voltage regulator sheetmetal adaptor bracket under the right hood corner. Later 8N's with the proofmeter block that location, so the headlite switch was mounted in the same bracket that the weaksister ignition switch is mounted under the left hood corner. Both hood corners are considered "waterproof". ........Dell

How do you drill a hole for a light switch (at the dent at lower left) without messing up the purty red paint on the dash?

How can you "waterproof" reproduction/original type switch in that location?
