Loader for MF150

I've got a 1967 MF 150, 4 cylinder Continental Engine that I got in a trade for a pickup truck. I'd like to get a loader for it. It seems that the only one I can find listed is a MF235 loader. I have not been able to find one. Is there another loader model that fits a 150? I have fair welding skills, and could modify or add mounts, if needed. Thanks in advance for any pointers.

Before you get too carried away thinking about and searching for a loader, maybe you should do a little research concerning the hydraulics to power said loader. As in what does the tractor currently have in the way of provisions to supply external hydraulics? Good chance it has nothing. If that's the case you need to consider some options and make some decisions.

What is the condition of the front axle and bolster currently? Are you planning to really use it as a loader tractor or just an occasional lift around your home yard? If you really want or need a loader look into selling or swapping it to get a small industrial tractor with a loader. Yes, there are a lot of 150s with loaders, so have held up ok, some have not, depending on how they were/are used. I know that is the same for most things but a 150 is a light tractor, JMHO.

Does you 150 crank pulley have provisions to accept a front pump? If so, you might want to install one for the loader, a number of the 99s and 100s used front pumps and the loader frame is the reservoir. Using the internal hydraulics will mean it is slow, and you have to manually switch between your three-point hitch lift and the loader, both will not be live at the same time.

It's really just for moving stuff around the property once in a while, not real hard use. I have thought that selling the 150 and buying something that already has a loader might be the smart thing to do. I missed out on a Ford 3600 with loader locally a few weeks ago that I thought would fit the bill. I passed on a Ford 2000 with loader recently due to it needing engine work. I probably should have bought that, but I don't need another project vehicle that can't move under its own power...

You might be best to spend a bit more and get something useable day one. Even if you have the gear and can fabricate, mounting a loader that doesn't have all the correct mounts for a given tractor with it can be a project, plus setting up hydraulics.

A lot of light duty loaders built by Freeman, Brushog and others for the MF 65/165 will fit a 150. I have used a Freeman on my MF 65 diesel run off the belly pump for years to load manure and handle round bales. A weak loader is better than no loader.
