Loader from a WD45 to a D17

Friend of mine knows I am looking for a trip loader for my Series 1 D17. Called and said neighbor has one on his WD45 that he would sell. Sorry - don't know the brand of loader. Generally speaking, though, would a trip loader from a WD45 fit a Series 1 D17? Intuitely, I would think not as the tractors are different sizes and have different frames.

Thanks!

Paulson loader should interchange- just have to hang it a bit different- would sit a bit more to the rear on the WD, whereas side frames on the D17 are only alongside the engine. Width should be the same.

If you get an Allis Loader many of them will fit both tractors. The #14 allis loader was made during the time period of the D series but would fit WD's also.
I tend to think unless you really luck out your going to have to do some light fabricating any way you dice it. The earlier WD9 loaders for wd's only go as far as the frame on the tractor where as the later loaders go all the way back to the rear axle.
