I agree, anything is possible with a torch and a welder. If you have access to a torch, welder, drill press, metal saw etc, anything will fit.
Nothing up in Oregon? Lots of farmland inland. steveI was trying to find a 2350 but the closest one in good shape I can find is in Missouri so delivery would add another 2k to the price. I wish I could find one in California
You would probably come closer for 806 with a Duel or Farmhand if you can't find IHNothing up in Oregon? Lots of farmland inland. steve
The designated loader is a IH 2000 FEL. source: https://www.tractordata.com/farm-tractors/004/6/7/4672-farmall-806-attachments.htmlHey all, I have a Ford 703 loader and was wondering if there is a way to mount it on a Farmall 806.
whatcha think? I live in Northern CA (not the bay about 4 hrs north about 2 hrs from Oregon, and there are just no loaders available around here.
How can I tell what loaders will work for this tractor? Sounds like there are a bunch of different ones.I don't know about out west, but Westendorf is a popular brand here in the south, look for a TA26 or WL27. You may not be able to find one with the correct brackets for a 806, but they can be modified fairly easy. Personally I like the quick attach mounting better on the WL series vs the TA series loader.
Yeah I read that one, that's why I was looking at tge 2350.This thread might be helpful: https://www.redpowermagazine.com/forums/topic/12173-what-loader-for-an-806/
But how do I find them? So far I haven't had a lot of luck. The MidWest is 'loader poor' meaning loaders everywhere. Our operation has 9 tractors of various sizes(50-200 horsepower) that are actually being used for field work and 5 of those has a loader mounted plus we have a skidloader.
I agree what others have said: the Ford loader is not built to handle the stress an 806 would put on it.
I don't know, I was just doing Google searches. I will try with specifics to that area.Nothing up in Oregon? Lots of farmland inland. steve
And a BFH!I agree, anything is possible with a torch and a welder.
Whether the size of the loader is right for the tractor or not, unless you have the correct mounts for a given used loader to fit the given tractor you want to put it on you are likely going to figure out what you need for mounts, design and fabricate the mounts yourself or have a fabrication shop do it for you. Loader mounts for tractors and loaders are not "universal" items. Most are proprietary to the loader manufacturer for the tractors the loader was designed to fit on. Purchasing new mounts to put a 50 plus (or even newer) year old loader on a similar vintage tractor likely has odds lower than winning the next billion-dollar lottery drawing.Hey all, I have a Ford 703 loader and was wondering if there is a way to mount it on a Farmall 806.
