Loader Valve

Hi guys, I have a JD 2130 tractor that I put a loader on. It’s a Closed Center system, I put a Prince 5200 series loader valve on it, installed the closed center plug and adjusted the relief valve all the way in on it and rechecked the o-rings but when I checked the outlet hose I find there is still a lot of fluid coming through when everything is in the neutral position. I"m hoping that somebody with more hydraulic experience then I have would have some ideas. Thanks

A strong chance that the o-ring on the plug got damaged when it got screwed in,,,,re-check it...

Hi again, I checked the o-rings and they looked alright but I replaced them anyways but there is still a steady stream coming out. I believe it must be the relief valve but I don't know what to do about it. By the way I checked the pressure and it's running about 2200 lbs. Thanks again

If closed center plug seal is good and relief valve is tightened all the way down then the only thing left is spool to housing leakage which would require a complete new valve assembly.

This is a brand new valve I replaced the old valve I had on it because it was leaking too. This one isn’t leaking as bad as the old one, the old one had about 3 gallons per minute coming out of the outlet line with everything in neutral this one leaks out about 3/4 of a gallon per minute.

Are you sure the plug is correct and it is seating nice in the body ?? Your plug should be long enough to fit tight as the outer seal and inner seal get right...a depth gauge would tell you if it's right...

This is the CC plug that came with it and it's what it shows it takes when I replaced the O-rings I mic'ed it and it seemed to measure out right and when I screwed it in you can feel the resistance when the O-ring starts in and it feels right.

Well it seems like you covered all the normal things,,,but that is a lot of by-pass oil..I'm wondering about the valve being faulty now.....
