Log splitter table

Anyone build a log splitter log catcher table?

Thinking of using 1” emt for the slats. Roughly 3 ft by 3 ft

Looked at the Timberwolf and rugged made ones for ideas but will make it custom for the box wedge splitter I have

Thoughts and suggestions

As an experiment, I mounted 2 pieces of flat steel on each side of my splitter where it would catch the split pieces. My wedge is on the far end, and the catchers are just below it. The pieces were 1/4" by about 14"x20"'(?) and I welded 2 pieces of angle iron on the side that I bolted to the beam. At first, I did not even tighten the bolts (3/8 threaded rod) until I knew I wanted to keep it on. I later welded rails on each side to help keep wood from falling off. Mine is a 3pt mounted model, that I run with it higher than my beltline, so I do want to pick up wood again. I have split big 25"-30" pieces and kept them on the catchers. They are kind of saggy from such loads, but very functional. I had originally thought I would make improvements, or redesign, but for being made out of scrap, they work perfect, so I have left them as is, not pretty, but still very functional.
An improvement I made that I really liked was, I made a handle that I can reach from behind the tractor to lower the splitter to the ground, roll a bigger piece on the splitter, engage the wedge, and reach up and raise the splitter to a comfortable working height. When apiece is split to the correct size I toss it right on to the wagon so as to not pick it up again.
Another thing I did was to weld a piece of angle iron on to end of the beam that I can hook my wagon to, to move the wagon around as I split. Mark.

We like pictures !

On the off hand side from splitting I welded 2 11/2 inch pipes about 18 inches long at a 45 degree angle. They caught the other piece of what I was splitting. Let the half fall there then work first half. A lot less bending. Did not affect operating in vertical operation. Sold the splitter several years ago when I went propane. Have enough wood cut and in dry to last me what little burn each year now.

Here's mine I built in 1985 I put one on each side of the wedge. I can unbolt the wedge and move it out on the end to split 8ft locust fence post. I had a few motors on it through the years now it runs off my tractor hydraulics. She ain't pretty i made it with whatever I could scrounge up at the time but still works good today.

Scrapped a steel fire escape. This was part of the landing. I used two of the steps to make a table for my other splitter. Since this photo was taken, I added sides the full length of the table with
