Where can I get copper spark plug wires for a model GP John Deere Tractor ? I have checked all dealers and and parts stores in the area and no one has copper wires 48 plus inches long

O'rielly in my town sells spark plug wire by the foot so if I want I could get a plug wire 25 foot long. That said it one of those things that if you don't know they have most will not even tell you they have the stuff.

NAPA carries it in bulk, just bought some the other day. The local store didn't have the wire in stock, but was able to get it the same day. They did have the terminals for both the spark plug & distributor ends in stock, so I bought a bunch.

Make sure you tell the counterman that its for a stationary engine or off road application, otherwise they'll tell you all they have is the suppressor stuff for cars. Ask to look at their catalog.

Just went & dug out my receipt. 7 mm metal core spark plug wire is NAPA part number 734803, 40 cents/ft, available up to 100 ft spools. Straight spark plug terminals are 727005, and the distributor end is 727008 for the old crimp terminals that push into the end of the wire.

Check you local NAPA dealers and ask for metallic core wire. Their book or puter may not say copper? I carry the same Belden wire Napa has or Taylor brand wire also in bulk. Black, yellow, or red. Taylor Wire makes it in any color you can imagine. Most comes in rolls of 300 ft. or more.
