My dad has a RD 501 he is willing to sell. Complete motor that was rebuilt and never installed. It has set for probably 18-20 yrs. I will ask him what he would like to get for it.

Make offer, from what I've been told the odometer never rolled over, so it has 87XX miles, and 251 hours. It's in a 1965 IH R185 fire truck... The only thing that confuses me is that it has a low mount distributor, and the "build sheet" (taped on the back of the drivers side visor) says RD501 ENGINE.

ON EDIT:
Ok, I had diamonds confused for a second, the blue had the high mount distributor.
